The Stirring
In the fall of 2020, God began
to deposit vision into Jonathan and Kate to establish a home for Oak City Church.
As Kate puts it, it's time to move from the newly married loft into an established home.
The Opportunity
A building opportunity was presented through a relationship with Mark Miller, a Board Member of Oak City.
Over the following 10 months, God continued to bring clarity and possibility to this opportunity
The Reveal
In October of 2021, Oak City Leadership shared this exciting update with our local church community and officially began the Establish Building Campaign.
The Oak City Community was asked to pray about One-Time, Up-Front, and Pledge Gifts.
The First Steps
Phase One of the Establish Building Campaign continued through November 2021.

The Approval
In November of 2021, Jonathan, Mark Miller, and other Oak City Trustees provided an exciting update to the church body.
It was announced that Oak City Church had raised 1.1 Million Dollars and that the purchase of the property had been approved
The Purchase
In January of 2022, Oak City Church officially purchased the Cahaba Heights Property.
Immediately we began to pray, plan, and prepare with an architect, interior designer, and an avl company to re-imagine the property
The Renovation
In March of 2022, construction officially began on the Cahaba Heights Property to renovate and retrofit the spaces to fit our current and future needs.
Almost every space on the property has been touched by this renovation effort.
The First Day
In May of 2022, Oak City Leadership announced that the first Sunday Service in the new Cahaba Heights Location would be on August 7th, 2022.
