Foster Care Information Meeting
May is Foster Care Awareness Month and we are excited to share with you more about Foster Care and supporting families impacted by or taking part in Foster Care during an Informational Meeting on Sunday, May 5th after our Service.
Join members of the Care Team to learn more about Foster Care in Alabama, how to support families in Foster Care, and much more. This meeting is not limited to families who are interested in becoming Foster Families, but is for anyone who feels called to support, love, and serve people affected by Foster Care
Foster Care Shoe Drive
May is Foster Care Awareness Month and we are honored to be hosting a Shoe Drive in partnership with Garrett's Place.
Garrett’s Place is a ministry devoted to serving and sharing the love of God in every facet of foster care, including at-risk families, foster and kinship families, aging-out foster youth, and reunifying biological families by providing for basic needs, emotional support, and community. They provide resources and support through free clothes, toys, books, school supplies, and other items to foster children as they are placed with new families, as well as providing support in various ways for the at-risk community and vulnerable young adults in our area.
ABOUT THE SHOE DRIVE
We will be accepting shoes throughout the month of May and will have a donation table
available during our Sunday Services for you to drop off your donations.
We are also happy to provide links to online retailers where you can purchase and ship your donation directly to Oak City.

- Donations will be accepted each Sunday from May 5th through May 26th
