Thank you for your interest

in being a Kingdom Community Group Leader. 


We are looking for people within the Oak City Family ready to lead with Kingdom Values and help build connected relationships for our community. This is an excellent opportunity to grow as a leader by creating space in your home for people to connect with each other and God.


We do have expectations that we ask from our leaders (Listed below). 


Expectations for being a leader:

  • Born again and baptized believer in Christ

  • Oak City is your home church

  • Regularly attended for at least 12 months

  • Attended Elements Class 

  • In a healthy place spiritually and emotionally

  • Willing to come under OCC’s leadership and guidance 

  • Willing to host (or manage location) and lead a Kingdom Community Group for at least one year 

Outside of off weeks and months 

Outside of uncontrollable circumstances

  • Work with a support leader once one is identified

This is something we will collaborate on with you

  • Attend quarterly training 


Two of the foundations of Oak City Church’s vision are for people to belong to family and to become who God has created them to be. We believe one of the ways we will accomplish this is through Kingdom Community Groups.


The Structure of Kingdom Community Groups has been carefully crafted by our team and consists of LONG-TERM GROUPS that MEET WEEKLY. Our heart for these groups is to create a space for people within the Oak City Community to build deep relationships.

Other details to be aware of:

  • Typically groups gather on Wednesday or Thursday night and last for 1.5 hours.

  • Off last week of the month - each month

  • Off months: April, July, and December

  • Off on Holiday’s/School holidays

  • Typical flow of meeting: 


Worship and ministry 

Discuss sermon or KCG recommended material (1-2 x a month)

Split into gender groups to check in and pray (1x a month)

A fun night (1x a month) (game night, dinner out, .etc)
